HUNT LOGIC

Privacy Policy

Effective October 4, 2026

Hunt Logic is a hunting planner for iPhone and Android. It is built so that your hunting spots stay yours: there is no Hunt Logic account, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking. Your hunting data stays on your phone. The only things that ever leave it are what you choose to share in a Hunt Party, anonymous sightings if you turn them on, and your email if you sign up for updates — all described below.

What stays on your phone

Your stands, pins, sightings, recorded tracks, journal, recoveries, photos and settings are stored on your phone. We never receive them. If you export a backup or share a stand, you choose where that file goes.

Your location

Hunt Logic uses your location to show you on the map, measure distance to your stands, time your drive and walk in, and to keep timing a trip and notice when you leave your stand (on iPhone, if you allow "Always"; on Android, while a trip is active and its notification is showing). Your location is used on your phone and is not sent to us, except to your party when you turn on Hunt Party location sharing.

Services that receive a map area or coordinates

To draw maps and fetch conditions, the app asks outside services for data about an area. Those requests include the coordinates of the area being viewed or planned, as any map app's requests do:

These services handle requests under their own privacy policies. None of them receives your name, your journal or your stands as records.

Hunt Party

Hunt Party is optional, and it works between iPhone and Android. When you join a party and turn on sharing, your display name, your profile photo if you set one, your location, and the pins and paths you choose to share are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so the other members of your party can see them. Your phone signs in to Firebase anonymously — a random ID, with no name, email or account behind it. Anyone who has your party code can see what is shared in that party. Location updates are sent only while sharing is on and are kept for four hours; shared pins are kept for 18 hours, then deleted. Turn sharing off or leave the party at any time.

Anonymous sightings

Off unless you turn on "Share sightings anonymously" in Settings. When it is on, each deer you pin sends only: the time, how many deer, buck or doe, the weather at that moment (temperature, wind and pressure), your rut region, and a square about 10 miles across that contains the pin. It never sends the pin itself, your stands, your tracks, your journal, your name or anything that identifies you. These anonymous sightings are pooled in Google Firebase to tune deer-movement forecasts for every hunter. Turning the switch off stops any new sharing.

Email sign-ups

Email is always optional — the app never requires it. If you sign up on our launch page or in the app's Settings, we store your email address, which phones you use, where you signed up, and whether you asked for deals and news. We use it only for what you asked for: the launch email from the launch page and, if you checked the box for it, occasional hunting-season deals and new apps from Go Forth Labs. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. We never sell or share your address. To be removed, email huntlogic.support@gmail.com.

Purchases

Hunt Logic Pro is sold through the App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android. Apple or Google processes the payment; we never see your payment details. The app receives only the subscription status the store provides, to turn Pro features on.

Notifications

Reminders such as when to leave and legal shooting light are scheduled on your phone. Party alerts are shown by the app on your phone when a party member shares a pin.

Children

Hunt Logic is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Deleting your data

Because your data lives on your phone, deleting the app deletes it. Hunt Party records you shared expire on their own (four hours for locations, 18 hours for pins); leaving the party stops any new sharing. Anonymous sightings cannot be traced back to you, so they cannot be singled out for deletion; turning sharing off stops any new ones.

Our social channels and YouTube

Hunt Logic posts short videos to its own YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accounts using an internal publishing tool, Hunt Logic Clips. The tool is used only by the Hunt Logic team, only on Hunt Logic's own accounts; it is not offered to the public and app users never sign in to it.

The tool uses YouTube API Services to upload our videos and read their view, like and comment counts so we can see what hunters find useful. By using YouTube features you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. The access tokens and statistics stay on our own computer; they are not sold, shared or used for advertising. Access can be revoked at any time from Google security settings, and stored statistics are deleted within 30 days of revoking access or on request to the address below.

Changes and contact
